Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can my photograph be enlarged to any size?
A: There are limitations on how much a photo can be enlarged before the quality becomes unacceptable. A wallet size photo could not be enlarged to a 24" x 36" print for example. The Photo Requirements Guide page goes into detail on file size needed for the different print sizes. If we have any doubt about a picture we will contact you first to discuss our concerns.
Q: Can you print my picture on canvas from an existing photo?
A: Absolutely! Print out the order form (PDF). Follow the simple steps in placing your order. The maximum size of your photo should not be larger than 8" x 10". After receiving your picture we will create a high resolution scan to create a digital file. We will mail your picture back with your order. No obscene or offensive pictures will be printed.
Q: What is the best file format, resolution, and image size to send?
A: Please see our Photo Requirements Guide page.
Q: Can you enhance or repair my photo?
A: Yes, we can improve your photo so it looks its best before printing. See the Enhancements page for available options. We can also do custom enhancements to photos that will make your photo on canvas truly unique.
Q: What's the difference between "gallery wrapped thin bars" and "gallery wrapped thick bars?"
A: With a gallery wrapped thin bar product, we stretch your image over bars that are .75-inches deep. Depth refers to the distance between the face of the canvas and your wall. This option is generally chosen for prints that will be mounted in a frame. Gallery wrapped thick bars means that the image will be stretched using bars that are 1.5 inches deep. It will be ready to hang without a frame.
Q: What makes your pictures on canvas such high quality?
A: We only use the highest quality products, equipment and inks. We print your picture using Epson’s newest UltraChrome K3 inks on 100% acid-free archival quality canvas. To protect your canvas, we spray it with Premier Art Print Shield which provides increased water-resistance and light fastness (resistance to fading).
Q: What do I need to do if my picture was taken by a professional photographer?
A: Copyright laws require that you obtain exclusive rights to the photo(s) or have obtained a release from the photographer or studio that originally took the picture.
Q: How long will my order take?
A: Our production process takes 3-5 business days after the digital proof is approved. Ink is allowed to dry for at least 24 hours before we coat with UV varnish. The canvas is then left to dry for another 24 hours at minimum. We stretch on the 3rd or 4th day. After a thorough quality check, we ship the next day.
